Air Works has built substantial national operational capabilities for important defence and aerospace platforms. Air Works performs base maintenance for the ATR 42/72, A320, and B737 fleet of aircraft from its EASA and DGCA-certified facilities in Mumbai, Delhi, Hosur, and Kochi, starting with the first P-8I aircraft Phase 32 checks and continuing through Phase 48 checks and MRO on the landing gear of the Indian Air Force's 737 VVIP aircraft "a statement from the Adani Group company.
“Given India's growth trajectory and the government's emphasis on connecting the country through an extensive web of air connectivity, it seems certain that the country's airline and airport sectors will experience their most rapid expansion in the coming years. Because of this, the maintenance, repair, and overhaul sectors are essential to the defence and civil aviation industries. What results is one of the most exciting, complete, at-scale, and digital MRO services within the country's borders," said Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence & Aerospace. Add to this the modernisation effort to make India a significant market for defence aircraft. Over its 70-year aviation history, Air Works has completed several projects that were firsts for both the industry and India.
D Anand Bhaskar, MD & CEO of Air Works Group, says, “India has the potential to become the region's MRO centre for both civil and military aircraft. Integrating into the Adani Defence & Aerospace platform is a fantastic opportunity for Air Works and its staff. The government's policy efforts, such as the convergence of civil and defence MRO, would result in significant cost savings and job growth.”
