FREMONT, CA: HiveMQ, developers of the popular enterprise MQTT platform, announced the integration of the HiveMQ Cloud for MQTT messaging with Confluent Cloud, the only fully managed, cloud-native event streaming platform powered by Apache Kafka®, service to offer an IoT end-to-end data pipeline.

HiveMQ Cloud, a cloud-native IoT messaging service, allows bi-directional communication between IoT cloud applications and IoT devices. Based on the industry-standard MQTT protocol, HiveMQ enables IoT devices to stream the telemetry data to the cloud and IoT cloud applications to transmit notifications to IoT devices. The HiveMQ Cloud integration with Confluent Cloud enables HiveMQ Cloud to stream data from millions of IoT devices to Kafka clusters.

HiveMQ Cloud integration with Confluent Cloud backs up all MQTT 3 and MQTT 5 features, inclusive of all QoS levels; and buffers messages at the broker to make sure of high-availability and failure tolerance if a Kafka cluster is unavailable. HiveMQ Cloud runs on AWS. The support for Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud will be added shortly.
