Ruchir Talati, Marketing ManagerMatrix’s latest innovation, SARVAM Unified Communication Server (UCS) is a future-proof next generation platform offering IP at the core with hybrid universal architecture. Engineered on the four pillars of collaboration, communication, messaging, and mobility, SARVAM offers integrated mobility and unified messaging to effectively address the communication and connectivity issues faced by employees working from home or mobile environments.
SARVAM’s main USP lies in supporting multi-location connectivity for enterprises. Dispersed office branches can be ‘tied together’ over an IP network using SARVAM UCS located at the headquarters, for real-time inter-branch office collaboration and communications. Multi-site connectivity over IP also facilitates common dial plans and numbering across different branches, besides common Auto-attendant and Voicemail system, through a PBX. Employees can use their own devices to experience a bouquet of collaborative features such as Audio Conferencing, Video Calling, Instant Messaging and over hundred Call Management options through Presence Sharing at the office and remote locations. Presence Sharing determines users’ availability—online, offline, their availability for participating in communication sessions—busy or out of office, and their preferred mode of communication—call or instant messaging, before a conversation begins. Presence Status can be altered at will and intimated to others in real-time.
The solutions’ portfolio of Matrix caters to the evolving communication needs of industries such as hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, banking and retail. When Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, a research-driven company with a global presence, sought to expand its manpower, the registration process had to be carried out using two different systems, which was time-consuming. With Matrix on board, Glenmark leveraged Matrix IP-PBX, which offered the flexibility to register all users in one system and was scalable to accommodate even future recruitments. Furthermore, access to intelligent call management features such as Call Transfer, Call Mute, Call Forward, Do-not-Disturb and Audio Conference improved communication convenience and also boosted employee productivity.
